Thanks for the feedback guys. I'm looking forward to another night with better conditions. Atm I'm taking what I'm getting and good seeing and sucker holes are few and far between most nights. I'm sure I saw Canopus disappear and reappear about 30 arcsec from is normal position the other night. Seeing has been absolutely atrocious with the amount of moisture in the air.
Mike, the final shot was 12@5min ISO800, f/3.2. Initial calibration, alignment, stacking and conversion to Tiff done in IP3 with a Median combine. Due to the strong LP gradient from Brisbane early in the night, I haven't tried to do a lot with this one. Basic curves, levels, colour balance and colour bias (modded 20D), and a couple of Carboni's and a Gradient Xterminator run is about all I've done. I'm looking forward to some 'less challenging" data
In about a month or so's time it will be high enough early enough that I'll be able to get it from about and hour and a half before meridian and continue for 5 or 6 hours or so. Weather and seeing permitting.

Wow a lovely result Paul, very nice processing and congrats on IOTW.
Going to leave this image open for a while to enjoy the lovely vista.
Gotta love the 135mm and great to see the ol' 20D is still going strong.
Well done.

Thanks Chris, Al, Al and Doug. I've decided to keep adding to it and see what comes out. Just need to wait for the clouds to clear.
And congrats to you too Al M for your M83 in Astronomy 2011. You know the one beside the h0ughy images. to you both
