Sooooooo hot up here, that cant stay in the house. Went and saw 'Harry Potter' yday - good, today saw that 'Skyline' is still on, but after reading the reviews, I may give that one a miss, as nobody liked it.
Heard that Reds is funny??? Wouldnt mind some scifi though.

Any movie which starts out with aliens landing in or attacking New York or LA must be pretty crap, i just hope its not as bad as the Fifth Element.......

Oooh... serious? 5th element is one of my favorites of all time. Doesn't even compare to skyline. It actually has characters you remember, fast pace and clever writting.

5TH Element is rated very highly by SciFi buffs. Got it on BluRay, quite cool and realistic culture, that and BladeRunner.
Anyone here enjoy Inception ?
And the new Startrek ?
Both cool in my books ...
Looks like I'll give Skyline a miss .....

The latest startrek is just great. Can't wait to see the 3 over instalments. They've re-juvinated the franchise. Must have seen this movie 10 times or more. Great music and acting.

That Skyline movie was a waste of money and time, I usually love sci-fi movies, but this looked like a cheap monster/horror movie.
Now, I've seen the trailer of Battle:Los Angeles and I think it is going to be a much better movie, will open sometime on March 2011....the theme seems to be the same: alien invasion.

Hey most sci-fi is good that's the point it's all BS in some way or another just fantasy never try and write too much into it just sit back turn off your brain and enjoy IMHO
Don't know why you'd want to watch Inception more than once to figure out what was going on, dream within dream etc etc.
Really good sci-fi with a good premise and sound science are few and far between

Zip. Nada.

Werd!
Folks, I was REALLY looking forward to this movie. I was first in line on opening night a few weeks ago.
UTTER GARBAGE! Ten million dollars to make it and they spent the whole ten on special effects. No story, bad acting...oh look, I couldn't even be bothered finishing this...
TRON Legacy, you better be good.

Inception is one I'd get on disc and watch again. It was a nicely written story and the end rewinds back to the beginning. The sequence of event and timing was very well done I thought.

I enjoyed it to the end but the last 5 seconds of the movie was dismal.
Maybe a sequal is on the horizon or now turn it into a tv series or some thing .
Cheers

Finally watched 'Skyline' .... liked it actually. Bit annoying a couple of bits, actors Ok, and movie was a combination of War of the Worlds, Independance Day, TNG - The Borg etc .... still not too bad. Bit scary in parts, and didnt mind the ending .. not the typical 'happy ending' scenario. 7/10 ... with a push
PS ... now about to watch one of the NEW 'V' episodes, yeah.

I was "fortunate" enough to rent this on DVD many years ago, if i had paid to watch it in a cinema i would have asked for my money back.....it was that bad, i'd nearly rate it in the same class as "The Long Kiss Goodnight" lol...............

Didn't see Inception on the big screen but I did just purchased it on BluRay. It had better be a nicely written story..I read that Chris Nolan took 8 years to write the story.
