As Orion becomes more visible at this time of year, I'll be thinking what a disappointment the human eye is; but at least the human brain has developed technology to enable us to see what's really there. What a great age we live in. Awesome

No, actually, I'll still love seeing Orion, along with the warmer weather

Its amazing isnt it.

I am at the AIC in Santa Clara CA at the moment. Rogelio gave a presentation on his techniques both capturing and processing (PI as I am sure you know Houghy) today.

I have spent a fair amount of time outside with Rogelio (like me he partakes in the filthy nicotine habit) and he is a really friendly humble guy - only too happy to discuss his photography. It is amazing that he has come this far in only about 2.5 to 3 years of imaging.

Some amazing equipment here as well. USQs Mount Kent Observatory - near Toowoomba - 0.7metre Planewave CDK is on display as well as about 6 other CDKs.

I will post some info when i can download some images.

I had discussions with Ken Crawford, Tony Hallas and Don Goldman over the las day or so and hope to make an announcement soon about them coming downunder in the middle of next year.

Ooooh, that would be pretty cool...where would they gather once here? Hmmm?..a country wide tour perhaps?

OK - I was going to wait until I got the photos downloaded (I forgot my Iphone cable) but maybe I should start another thread because I think Rogelios image deserves to be the only topic here - smile.
