Thanks David & Mike! We're only using one of the two projectors, so if I rehash the movie's aspect ratio a bit we could spread it right along the entire side of that building. Hmm.....

Well done

Hi Chris & All,

Congratulations on your event and very well done to the organisers. You deserve a good crowd and let's hope the weather holds-up.

Best,

Les D

Thanks very much Les. We set up the internal exhibition this morning. We have prepared nearly 60 A3-sized colour and mono prints that will be paired with A3-sized presentations of original photography from JPL concerning the Voyager II flyby of Neptune.

Should be a blast. I'm going to attempt recording a time lapse video of the art gallery setup. Should be a bit of fun. If it works I'll YouTube it.

[B]Here's a few of the gallery being set up today for tomorrow's opening - lots of work for all involved!

A nice large auditorium for the speakers next Satudray....

All 44 of the JPL prints of the Voyager II mission are up as well. It all looks fantastic in real life

IT all opens this morning at 10:00am. Hopefully, with the bad weather, parents will be trying to find things for their kids to do indoors and bring them along. Wish us luck!

Chris, do you have a roster, so there's a better chance of being there at a time to run into some some well known names? It can't be the weekend because that clashes with our Year 12 40th anniversary reunion.

Andrew

Hi Andrew

I think that the weekend is when people will really come. Given that, we have more of our own coming on the weekends as well. Rosters are quite light on during the week as the expected volume of traffic will be low in comparison. I think that most of the committee will be there on most days though. I'll be going every other day for an hour or so to see if anything needs doing.

We had a good number through today - at one time the main room was getting quite crowded.

We were there about lunch time Tuesday. I had a great yarn with the guys on duty. SWMBO had a look through the rest of the exhibitions when she had seen enough stars.

After lunch in the cafe, the sun came out for long enough to get a quick look through the Lunt before it vanished back into the clouds for the rest of the week. It is out now and probably will be long enough for me to mow the lawn.

Thanks for coming down Andrew, and I hope that you enjoyed the little exhibit. I'm sorry I missed you - it would have been great to have a yarn.
