Lovely finer detail there John!

How are you finding Astraimage compared to Registax?

Cheers,
Darrin...

Hi again Darrin, & thanks! Uuummm - I only use Astraimage for doing this RGB aligning after using Registax. Oh, plus I might use it for a bit of decovolution if I feel so inclined just before the alignment.

So, the process goes like this: Once you've done each RGB AVI's in Registax, you obviously end up with 3 B/W final images. I then crop all 3 centrally in an editing proggy. From there into Astraimage. Then load & change all 3 mono images into greyscale pics. Do a wee bit of deconvolution, sharpening, gamma lowering (whatever they need blah blah) & then align 'em. Then it's back into your editing program for any final touchups.
