Congratulations Mike!
First chance to see Polaris, eh? I managed to find it when I was in Canada a couple of years ago... through a sucker hole in 3 weeks of clouds ... but I got it.

Congratulations, Mike. Great to have such a quick turnaround after being made redundant. Obviously your talents are recognised. Hope you have a great trip.

Hi Mike,
Things always get better, given a bit of time, and in your case it happened very quickly indeed! I had no doubt you would go on to better things.
Congratulations, and enjoy America, and their skies.
All the best,
Suzy.

While I am living on the East Coast I do travel West regularly, don't hesitate to let me know if I can be of assistance to you when you come north!

Good on you Mike, I'm sure you will enjoy your new position and new opportunities.
That 14 hour flight from Sydney to LA/San Fran. will be a bit daunting the first time but you will enjoy it. It is hard to sleep but try to get some as you will feel better the next day.
There is a lot of light pollution in California but if you can get away inland a bit you might see some of the northern sky.
Good luck and congratulations. See you at Lostock.

The saying ... one door shuts, another door opens comes to mind Mike ... mind you ... THATS what happens when your proactive in your pursuits. Well done and I hope the new position is everything you want it to be ... just be careful now in the States ... dont go broke saving money will you.
Best of Luck

Sorry to hear about your previous troubles Mike, but it sounds like there's been a fantastic turnaround.
Have a great trip.
