Hi All,
A little bit of research and some tools on hand. There are identical mails that originate from Lagos Nigeria.

It is Scam mail. Not Spam mail. The difference being that scam mail is designed to rip people off. Spam is uninvited advertising. Phishing is correct as OICURMT indicated.

Anything asking for passwords or personal details, treat suspiciously.
I would hate to see any of the astro geeks falling for an advance fee fraud.
They even fish for victims on ebay. They have fraudulent paypal accounts.

It's a scam. Report and then ignore it.

Just like this one that I've recieved a few times lately on my Hotmail account

Account details are required so as to store in our database to keep your account active. Failure to do this will lose his or her account permanently.
To update and enable us restore your account details in our data base to keep your account active, you are required to provide us the details below urgently. Click the reply button to enter details below.

Country or Territory: …………

Make sure the details above are correct to enable us restore your account details, this will help prevent your account from been suspended.

IPs , banks and financial organisations and PayPal will never ask you to provide your details via email.

Totally the wrong thing to delete the message. Past it on to as many people as you can so that you can flood their damned site with bogus Information that they just get flooded with spam at their end. Then they can't tell the unfortunate from the spam. If everyone did it then these mugs may go elsewhere and give up this spamming.
