RBR's assessment is correct, from what I've seen.

So if you were the one in the cockpit looking at a 3rd consecutive victory, I take it you'd kindly move over to let your opponent pass you?

Racing drivers aren't in it to give way to their rivals, they certainly won't give up their position with out a fight.

I was hoping your boys would have the similar incident so Schumacher would be on the podium! Lol

I've watched the replays many times now. From what I saw Vettel moved across fairly quickly, perhaps on the assumption that Webber had thrown in the towel and had relinquished track position, giving Webber little opportunity to avoid the collision.
Could have Webber given Vettel more room? Sure, but he gave him enough within the rules. Could have Webber let Vettel by without challange and thus avoided any problems. Yes, but why should he.
Anyone who watches motor racing on a regular basis must surely agree Vettel did a pretty silly thing and paid the price. Unfortunately so did Webber.

Read this article by Martin Brundle to see where the Red Bull Hierarchy loyalties lie
http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport2/hi/moto...ne/8714410.stm
It really says it all.
the only thing Webber can do is win on his and his teams merit till it gets to be obvious to Red Bull that they are backing the wrong man but by that time it may be to late

My 2 cents, Vettel is purely at fault, even though I don't fully agree with the mangers comments.

Webber was there, Vettel decided to take Webber on an inside line that only "reckless" Hamilton would consider.
But come to think of it, Hamilton would have bailed, knowing he could never get the race line into the left hander.

Vettel got his justice.

In V8SC's, everyone that attempts Vettel's race line, knows full well it "always" ends in all wheel lockup and results in a crash.

Webber thought that they were driving on the highway and had to give way to traffic on the right

I have been following this on James Allen's site since Sunday, as well as over on the Red Bull page. Amazing they could even think of blaming Webber for this incident. He did everything "correctly" - tried to block the pass, moved over and left a car width when he couldn't block, even tried to avoid Vettel's right hand jink ... but it was too fast. Not sure what Seb was trying to do with that right hander. He must have thought he was clear, and tried a fast "take that" before the approaching left hander...

Some hot heads at Red Bull this week. Be interesting to see who cools down the most at Canada. I suspect McLaren will be strong for the next race or two, until Silverstone.

Atleast Webber got the podium, while Seb got a taste of what he deserved for that silly abrupt manouver. Kinda ironic in a way. The hunter is the hunted

I can only imagine the uproar if it was the other way round...

I think he may have agreed this prior to the last race. Wonder of he regrets it now?
