Due to back problems I had to give up being a motor mechanic of 27 years.
I now work for the RAA( Sth Aust's motoring club) as an Advisory Technical Engineer.

IT consultant -> IT management -> inherited additional responsibilities that others didn't want, e.g., company wide procurement and maintenance -> house daddy. There are similarities between some senior managers I've met and a toddler, e.g., whatever they want has to be delivered
now and they don't care about what is practical/possible

Geologist....but now my back can't take tramping through the bush as much as it used to, doing postgrad (masters, at present...PhD later on, hopefully) studies in astronomy, so hopefully my next career will be as a professional astronomer (won't stop my amateur status, though
)
