Amazing pics Liz.
I was listening to ABC1026 yesterday and according to an Aussie woman who's lived there for 10 years, its the most interesting thing to happen in ages.
It also erupted on the same day that 50 or so of Icelands finest citizens were getting pilloried for dodgy trading practices that led to Iceland going bankrupt. So THEY'RE pretty chuffed as all the attention is off them!
Apparently Icelanders take Volcanos and such in their stride.

Yes most definately awesome pics, good find. Can you imagine the noise that would be coming from that, both from the eruption itself and the lightning as well !!
