Fred,

lol, I reckon I can do better, yet! I've seen images of this taken with FSQ-85s and it looks amazing, pin sharp stars everywhere. But, then again, I can't really compare a sub-$1,000 scope to a Takahashi. All in good time.

Ric,

Cheers, mate. Mike did a rough sketch on someone's hydrogen alpha chook the other day. It makes sense when I look at it!

As good as this image is, you will be amazed at the detail you can get with a Ha and Clear luminence filter. This image is a fine DSLR image but you are about to be blown away with what you can get with CCD. Well I am at least.

Nice work H.

Super shot Humi. You consistently put out some of the best DSLR images you'll see anywhere.

That STL11 will be a nice new challenge for you to take your images to the next level. You have reached a pinnacle with your DSLR imaging.

Greg.

Paul,

Cheers! Yep, I know there's still a long way to go. I'm quite happy with how that's turned out. But, I saw this image taken by someone in Namibia not so long ago, with an FSQ-85 and an ST-8300 (I think it was) and it looked incredible. The extra resolving power of the FSQ really shined. I know I can't really compare my sub-$1K scope to the precision engineering of a Takahashi, but, still, the image took my breath away and I'd love to try and emulate that! Bring on winter time!

H,

Can't wait to see the images from the new camera. I still think the ED127 is one of the best bang for buck scopes going and once again you have shown it.
