Four weeks of 'wall-to-wall' cloud just north of Mackay until Monday. Well, it is 'the wet'. Up to 14 inches of rain in the Pioneer Valley in one night.

Cheers, Bobj.

Ouch! Hope your equipment is okay.

I've had several nightmares where that happened to me Whenever you see cloud coming, do not turn your back

Finally the Sydney weather forecast is showing the possibility of good weather for early next week. I've had fun tidying the wiring, mounting the guidescope and guider and generally fussing around with the setup for the last 2 weeks or so. However, I really would like to start using it now!!!

It should be fine the OTA had the cover on and I cleaned it quickly afterwards. The EQ6 is built like a tank and a quick rub of the towel took off most of the water.

It's been raining for 2 weeks here so far. I'm going to build an Ark and get two of every type of telescope on board!

That's my grand plan. Hopefully I can get a couple of those humongous Orion 50" dobs to give birth to a 25 incher or two

We've had about 60mm of rain since the time sunset was alleged to happen. That's about 100mm today.

Plus the 20mm yesterday afternoon.

We are used to children being bigger than their parents. My son at 195cm is about 15cm taller than me. So I'd expect a pair of 50" should be good for a few 55-60" children.

Would the gentlemen or gentlewomen, conspiring to incrementally purchase cloud inducing telescope gear in Brisbane, please refrain?

Your high tech rain dance has officially washed out my parade

I think that 7timer A-panel (Astrowether panel) is great for cloud cover foresting. Here is the link to the Astroweather page http://7timer.y234.cn/V3/product.php...n&product_id=1 just put in your location, you can select your suburb or provide your exact longitude and latitude. 7timer A-panel provides a cloud work function (CWF) and the local cloud cover.

Cheers.

We've just had the garage under water again, and tonight's rain isn't supposed to be as bad as Saturday and Sunday.

I was hoping for Melbourne's weather here in Dallas Texas. We've been snowed in for the past 16 hours. Slept in the Airport, no hotels available.
