Hi all,
Wish I had something better to report for Sab, unfortunately not. I have attached a 25 second exposure North up, have blinked the image against the Digitised Sky Survey Red image and all looks as it should.
Let me say I totally support Les Dalrymples comments about what a great job Sab (PGC Hunter) did in picking this out. Perhaps moreso that he had the willingness to throw it out there to be followed up.
My hearty congratulations to you Sab, keep up the observations and I would be happy to assist anytime.

PeterM.

Another NGC1399 image

Hi Sab,
Out of curiosity, I also took an image of NGC1399 for you on a rare night of clear skies here in SE Queensland. (MN61,D900F6, ST10, 5 mins, Bin1x1)
Everything looks fine. I processed the image a bit to bring out more detail across the galaxy, but of course, being an elliptical, there's not much detail to see anyway.

Hi Sab, it's a bit of bummer you missed out this time but with your keen eye and a love of galaxy hunting I'm sure it's only a matter of time before you bag a SN.

Cheers

Just want to say thanks to Peter and Greg for taking the time and effort to image the galaxy. Your help is much appreciated!

Too bad it's simply a bad case of overexposure syndrome.

Cheers
