Whoa! An amazing effect for sure. Everything looks frozen, as though ice is creeping along every surface and taking the definition from everything.

Van Gogh eat your heart out!

Love the puggies! Is that a reflection of you in Chops' left eye?

Cheers guys!

Carl - the Topaz "Clean 2" plugin is US$29.99 http://www.topazlabs.com/clean/ and the full bundle is US$179.

I've operating on trial limitations but will buy the full bundle I think. Great for all sorts of things, both terrestrial and astro.

Hi 33South,

The filter does certainly give that warm impressionist feel to Chris's photos.

With regards Starry Night, If you have not had the opportunity to see the original
painting, I hope you get to do so. i saw it several years ago in the Museum of
Modern Art (MoMA) in New York and it is breathtaking. Even when one corrects
for the bias that comes through it being an instantly recognizable and iconic work of
art, like others, I was instantly drawn to it and would continue on through the gallery
only to keep coming back to view it again and again. The paint of course
is so three dimensional and textured on the original which is an important
attribute when viewing it.

There is an exhibition currently in Canberra at the National Gallery that includes
some Van Gogh's.

I know Chris is a keen astrophotographer so I would be keen to see the filter
applied to an image of the night sky including the Moon in what might be
Chris's Starry Night.

Anyway, looks like a fun filter!

I've a print of Starry Night in my lounge room.
It is reminiscent of Chris's pics isn't it.

That is fascinating Chris. Lovely effect. Do you do requests?

Landscapes certainly work really well don't they?
One comes to mind that might look great...Adam's Arkaroola
view in his thread http://www.iceinspace.com.au/forum/s...ad.php?t=53320

As long as he doesn't mind. It has been my background for a week
or so. I love anything Flinders Ranges. Worth a try maybe?

Not too bad, considering what you get for the price

Thanks guys

All good fun, but not something you'd produce too often. I'd say that there could possibly be an audience for prints at a local market maybe... Some people really like stuff like this on their walls.

Great effect Chris, Im sure everyone has a picture that would benefit from the "Clean2" and be an adornment for a wall.

Just on the Chops picture .. looks like shes just figured out that Bongo has got the last bone again !!!!

Thanks for showing us those
