We had our family xmas get together yesterday.
So xmas day will be spent at home.
The only plans I have for the school holidays is working by day, imaging by night.

I'll be camping on the beach, with dark skies and my wife and scope nearby.

My sister from Canberra couldn't get time off during the holidays so we had to have it early.

I find xmas stressfull because the income stream stops.
As a family it became too complex with ex's and extended family we stopped doing xmas 10 years ago.

The joys of working retail
No real breaks for Easter or Christmas, just one or two days.
And people want EXTENDED trading??
What is so important that they MUST have it right now and not wait a few extra days? Or, here's a novel idea, plan ahead?

Probably spending Xmas with my mum (she's 85yo and so we aren't likely to have many more Xmass and NYs when she'll be around .... I hope she sticks around at least long enough for my boy to find a girl, marry and have some kids...that would be very nice).

What are your plans for the Christmas break?

I always seem to get stuck working over xmas/new years. Doesn't realy bother me since it is double-time-and-a-half (around $45 p/h) on public holidays.

Isn't the panic buying funny!!
The store is closed for one day and they all stock up with enough groceries to last a month.
