Well, I'll own up:

AstroPhoto Insight magazine

and a book called "Star Maps - history, artistry and cartography" by Nick Kanas (and a very nice book it is as well).

Oh, and I bought a card table for my astro setup today as well.

I'm a bad bad boy.

I blame Gary Beal as well. With a bit of luck, all up we'll get between 5 and 8 days of rain. Unfortunately that will be accompanied by roughly between 3 & days either side by cloudy weather. Don't worry though, the full moons due late next week so my timing is perfect.

Yes Some one has lashed out. We have 20-40mm rain forecast and continuing for a few days. (Its Good anyway)

Mr. Beal???? Hmm.

I can say I have been good. Working on the new pool.

.... been bucketing down here today and tonight .... so much so I had to rescue my 10" OTA and put it on the work bench to save it , was standing in the garage on the floor , got drowned walking down the back in the rain to rescue it before the water got to it before the flash creek down my driveway inundated my garage floor....

BTW .... it wasn't me who flashed the plasticfantastic.

Nor was it me threatening to go and dangle a line in the water either .... that's generally certain to bring the rain and storm clouds too.

Hi Jen,

No, no, no! A new pool does not attract rain and clouds. Or at least the construction of it. (Does it?)

Totally unfair to shift the blame from Mr. Beal to me. Humph!!!

What do you think? Do we have the answer to finishing the drought?

I mean; if we were to aproach the government and reqested a heap of new toys at public expense, we should be able to promise some real rain.

We have the power. We'll need a spokesman like Iceman Mike to draft a letter. We can get you rain.

Cheers Marty

Tell Jen to get a rowboat (just in case)… now that's real optimism!

Sorry all perhaps it was the fact that I trundled around 3 states in the last 4 weeks travelling about 6200 km's with my 4" refractor and GEM with family and trailer in tow
No joke, here was the status:
- Sydney to Melbourne (AFL grand final weekend): rain, hail, wind
- On to Ballarat: cloudy
- On to Port Jarvis then Kangaroo Island, SA: cloudy, windy, rain
- On to Adelaide: cloudy, rain
- On to North Flinders Ranges: 4 clear nights around new moon
- On to Broken Hill: scattered cloud then rain
- And the rain followed us home to Sydney last weekend

Hi Adam,

You missed Brisbane. The weather gods anticipated you visiting Brisbane next.

You and Mr. Beal can share the blame. Maybe taking the heat off me.

That Green alien woman from Swan Hill keeps blaming me when there's several others who are readily confessing.

I'm gonna' have to learn to box. (WII Style )

Cheers Marty
