Both images have the same amount of detail on my CRT, but the LCD image has a little less colour in it.

The people in Hollywood editing films and making DVD's use $40,000 CRT's. Overall cheap LCD's are no good for image processing, but some of the more expensive ones are OK. There are huge variations in colour settings from one LCD to the next so it is very important to calibrate LCD's with something like this - http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00...kenrockwellcom
