Now that's a Great shot Jeanette. I much prefer the colour of the nebs in the second shot, though the star field looks more vibrant in the first version. Now if you could only take the colour of the stars from the first one and the colour of the nebula from the second one and combine the two it would be

I'll take that on board when I do the repro Paul.
But first I'll have to callibrate the monitor of the lappy to the desk top. That way I know exactly what I'm getting.

another great shot mate, i am almost scared to see what you would do with a good autoguider.

I wouldn't know what to do with one Duncan. I'm quite happy to just plod away doing what i can with what I've got.

Lagoon and Triffid on the lower left, Eagle in the center and Omega to the lower right of that.

Matt - It looks to be centered almost exactly on M16... to the right of that you can see M17, and in the bottom left area, M8 M20 and M21...

It's a combo of 3 different constellations.
Sagittarius, Scutum and Ophiuchus.

Jeanette,

That is a great image. I much prefer the second, but, agree with Paul -- a combination of the two would rock.

I love how M7 is pinpoint down the bottom.

Great image you have there .. widefield shots are amazing and have a place on their own in the scheme of things astro photgraphy wise. You'de have to be pretty chuffed with this result.
