Is anyone having the same problem

*clears throat* IT support voice now
- Is it just iceinspace that is slow?
- Which update? What version of firefox are you running? Go Help > About
- I will side-track into a point here: Do not be fooled into thinking updates are automatically better. They aren't. Security updates aside, don't be in a rush to apply updates. Newer is not always better. If it works, don't fix it.
- Back on topic. This sort of thing is pretty hard to troubleshoot unless you are in front of the box. Even then it is a process of elimination, with a large percentage of collateral damage and several embarrassing holes in the ceiling.
What you need to do is first get to a position where you can reproduce the problem reliably. You seem to have done that, so that is your first hurdle out of the way. We now eliminate things one at a time. Start at the broadest and work inwards.
= Is it IIS? No. No one else is complaining of issues.
= Is it your ISP? Unlikely. The problem occured when you updated firefox.
= Is it firefox? Seems to be. Lets confirm that. Try it in IE. Is it fast?
= Lets assume that it is for a moment. Ok we've seemingly isolated it to firefox. With computers, do not take that as law. They will do everything in their power to trip you up

= Now what do we do? Isolate further.
= Only happens with IIS? Ok that probably means something that IIS is loading is causing firefox to be slow. This could be anything from my name to an ad to somebody's smiley.
This is the sort of methodology you need to follow. Failing that, why do the work yourself? Use google. Read a few posts around the place, get a general feel of things.
Do not fall for any program which claims to make things faster. They don't. You can't lose weight by gaining fat. In the extremely rare case when they do make it faster, all they do is make changes that you can do yourself for free.
Once you've got an idea of whats out there, try a few suggestions. ONE CHANGE AT A TIME! Do two and you'll never know what fixed it. If something doesn't work, consider rolling it back. Always have in the back of your mind "does this apply to me?".
One thing I personally might do is roll back the latest change (the update). For me, re-installing firefox is trivial... I don't know what your skill level is so you'll have to make the call on that one.
Here's some stuff I've found after a quick google search:

Not a huge amount of help I know, but I hope it'll be of some use to you
