Touched a nerve there I think.
Only joshing of course. I reckon that the majority of those who do manage to pull the all nighters are IIS'ers.

Alex, I've a spare pair of snow boots you're welcome to borrow. So long as your feet are size 9.

JJJ... I reckon if I curled my toes up I'd fit into a 9 !

Worth a shot anyway!

Yea, its the forum members who are pulling all nighters because we've had tons of practise.. I dont know how many cloudy weekend evenings I've spent on the forums until 4~5am... At Barambah I slept a total of 4 hours out of 70hrs I was there... Talk about dedication!

Thought I'd let you good people know that here at Kilcoy this morning it's a dry and frosty -2 degrees.
Which means at Linville it would be approx -6.

I'm taking 2 hot water bottles with me this time.

I'm all booked and ready to go along to my first Astrofest since taking up this hobby. Looking forward to putting some faces to names. I'm there for the nights of 19, 20, 21 August. Unfortunately can't stay for the Saturday night dinner due to commitments back in Brisbane.

It's the people who make Astrofest exactly what the name says it is and was always intended to be. And the comments here reflect the truely fun filled enjoyable event that it has become. It's not just a Star Party, everyone one else has them. In Queensland we had to extend it to a week long event to help people with their addiction, Astro therapy me thinks. If you haven't been to an Astrofest then you have missed something very special, put it on your calendar for 2010.
If "Star Parties" had their own State of origin series then the Queensland Astrofest would be like the result from tonights game and this years series - a white wash - Queenslander all the way.
Ok, if Qld lose tonight I will fly my burgundy undies from the flagpole at Astrofest from Midday on the last Saturday until 5pm, question and challenge is, if NSW lose will HOughy do the same with blue ones?
PeterM.

Hi!

I’ve just stumbled on this thread, albeit a little late and I feel compelled to correct a possible injustice to our esteemed colleague from down south, Sir H0ughy!

If I remember correctly, on his very first raid across the border into the Qld Astrofest camp, he was the only all nighter; plundering bucket full’s of our photons to produce a wonderful portfolio of images, certainly putting me to shame!

It does hurt me to say this, especially given today’s State of Origin #3!

Cheers

Dennis

Surely you mean that if QLD lose, you'll fly Houghy's blue undies from your flagpole, and if QLD win he has to fly your maroon undies from his flagpole!

Dennis, I was referring to the final night of last years Astrofest. Dave and Al went to bed early because they were leaving at dawn the next day.
It was only we three who stayed the distance with only Wayne to keep us company.
Come to think of it, Ponders crashed around 2 or 3am. Seems he was a bit miffed about something.

Hi JJJ

I’m just keeping in his good books so I can plunder his van + trailer full of goodies when he arrives!

Cheers
