Seeing as there are no Red-Light pencils for me to sketch out at the scope I guess I'll have to settle for the Red-Light Pen for taking notes and crossing items of my 'search' list.

I'll go for one please.

One of my boys will probably knock it off and read in bed under the covers with it when supposedly sleeping!!!! My daughter does that with the light from her mobile phone

Rob, Davo P might be able to tell us if they are available in a pencil. That would be fantastic if they did!!!!!!!

It is very hard sketching at the scope. I try make a rough sketch with a little red torch clipped onto my EP case and then finish it inside out of memory. It would be incredible to sketch the whole object at the EP!

i get a sample pen once a month, but will check for a pencil version from the supplier!

i thought it was a joke re pencil until i remebered that typex (white out) at night might be a bit hard to apply to mistakes!

yes a nice pencil would be nice!

I will do my best gentleman!

Ok looks like we have enough interest to go ahead with the pens.

The final cost for the pens (postage to your door is included):

1 pen: $10
2 pens: $8.75 each
3 or more pens: $7.50 each

Each pen will include a black velveteen pouch.

Please make your payment by depositing into the bank account listed at the Donate page. Please make sure the reference includes your forum name so I can match it up to your address!

Please PM me with your postal address once you've made your payment.

If you'd prefer an alternative form of payment, you can send me a money order (PM me for my address) or PM me with your suggestions of other methods of payment you'd prefer to use.

If you're sending a money order for the Astronomy 2006 book, feel free to include the cost of the pen(s) in the money order to save yourself some money.

sorry to hear that CS
just that design didnt look like it would lend itself to a pencil design unless you are talking about a lead refill/replace design - i have never liked that type of pencil myself. And the power of the pencil theme goes back aways on this forum eh Ken .
what would be good would be a slip on red light similair to whats on the pen. that would go on normal pencils - i could use one for lots of stuff - meteor counts/film exp. time details to name a few.
