I only ever buy music DVDs - once I see a movie I've seen it enough times. The last purchase was:

The Chieftans - The Nashville Sessions (just fantastic)
Devo in the Land of the Rising Sun (better than I expected)
A Eurythmics music clip collection (a bit ho hum)
Asia, Fantasia (OK, but every member of the band is better than the product)

Ah, "The Hell of the North", awesome stuff, and cycling's golden years were the mid 80's to early 90's for me.

Nar, I just remember seeing him on TV as a kid, and what he did, I mean, to ride down a three man break-away, 6min ahead, all by himself, catch them 1km from the finish and then out sprint them without contest, that's just I-N-S-A-N-E

Last purchase was 'Cranford', the BBC mini series, for my mum. She missed it when it was on telly. She loved it.

Last one before that was 'Bob Marley, Live at the rainbow', if you're a Marley fan, it's a great show.

Cool Speeeak!

High Road to China (1983)

A real fave of mine for ages. It was release only this year on DVD in Australia !!

Best of all it was just $5 !!

The brilliant 1977 semi autobiography aviation novel, in which the film is loosely based, was written by Australian author Joh Cleary. It is an absolute gem!!

"The oxen are slow, but the earth is patient".

I loved that one, but thats the sort of stuff that makes me laugh. Got 2, one for the grandkids, and one for me

Last 2 I bought were Doctor Who, the City of Death (Tom Baker is my favourite doctor) and The Magnificent Evans, Ronnie Barker. Not got the second one yet, but looking forward to it, a great comedian.

"STAR WARS - The CLONE WARS" movie last Thursday, part of Big W's huge toys, etc sale.

Actually, I bought 3 items total - the Clone Wars DVD, a newly released Star Wars Lego set, and the Lego Star Wars game ("Complete Saga" version) for the Nintendo DS.

Yes, my son REALLY loves Star Wars, and LEGO.

We bought Bolt, a Disney Animation about a small white dog named Bolt who, having spent his entire life on the set of a television series, thinks that he has super powers. When he believes that his human, Penny, has been kidnapped, he sets out on a cross-country journey to "rescue" her. (Wiki)

I am starting wear a bit thin with all the childrens animation movies, but Bolt was a pleasure to watch. A great all-round family movie.
