If I won:

1. Buy a property in NW WA,
2. Get a 40" SDM
3. Get a 14" TMB Apo refractor with several smaller auxilary refractors for that "coolness" effect",
4. Put the 40" dob in a 15x15m observatory with adjecent bedroom and kitchen,
5. Chuck the refractor in a massive dome and pretend I'm Percival Lowell,
6. Build an airstrip on my property
8. Get a pilot license and buy a plane
9. Not work another day in my life

Shame it ain't gonna happen

Not a big wish list:. I'm pretty boring - I don't want to travel, don't want a flash car. I'd be happy with:

1. A nice place to live
2. A shed big enough for all the tools I would buy (see 3)
3. Tools to fill the shed (see 2)

The remainder 'd probably invest and give the yearly income to charity - less a little tool money for me

Would do all the usual stuff like sharing with family and setting myself up. Probably go back to uni. Love to study conservation and ecology and would be more than happy to work doing this knowing i didn't need to.

One thing id really love to do would be to buy a ticket on Virgin Galactic.

I wonder how many tickets they will sell?
If recon if they sell less than 75 Million tickets, it's a good investment. You can cover all the combinations with just $54 million.
Is my maths right?

Probably .. but if 10 others get it right also your possibly in a touch of trouble ?

1.. wake up wed morning and realise it was a dream .. again

2.. briefly try to convince oneself it wasn't .. but as the head clears
realise it was .. but still get a chuckle out of it .

3.. Come home from work to find the letterbox holding a fistfull of bills .

Hi All,

Ah!!!! Gotta love Houghy's Reply

"definitely buy a property in a nice location, a multitude of different scopes on offer to use, travel to all the good events and go to the eclipse - no matter where it is.

OK OK - actually i would do as i am told by SWMBO "

But oh so true. I guess it's moments like this we show our true love!
ONYA HOUGHY
Cheers,
Duncan

If I won the lot, I guess I would pay someone to follow me around and lift mt Meade onto and off its mount for me....to save my Back.

A second storey on the house with a dome on it sounds OK too.

I'd reckon the first purchase would be to order two new Cat 1 tankers and two Cat 7 trucks for our Rural Fire Brigade.

I would definitely retire and devote more time to the RFS

One can only dream

if i ever got given a ticket and it won

pay off all my debts

buy a few more acres up the road in a darker location, build the dream home on it. plus the spicky looking dome with a very expensive setup in it.

travel a bit and see things ( not too much though3-4 weeks ayear would be fine)

not much else im pretty happy as it is.
