I fall into the "Astro Geek" class without even realising it. I'm pushing close to 2000 hours. It gets a bit scary when you look at it like that.

Still it's a hobby and you are meant to enjoy your hobbies.

Cheers

Work??

Hey All,

Justify it like this:

You work to enjoy life.
Your hobby is part of your life that you want to enjoy.
Enjoy your hobby, enjoy your life.
The boss is happy you appear to enjoy work.
Little does he know that you work to enjoy your hobby

Glad you included forum time! That increases my statistics no end
I reckon I spend about 10 hours on the forums and playing with stuff for every hour of actual observing. I'm sure I'm not the ony one either

What a great hobby this. I absolutely love it! Wallet doesn't though

I reckon I live and breath it even though I'm not over the 2000 hours per year mark... yet. If I didn't have to work I surely would be. I'm definitely over the 1000 mark though!

I've only been at this for 6 months so I have to use my crystal ball for the rest of the year.
