Thanks for all the feedback guys, I think the competition was a lot of fun and stimulated some great interest and discussion.
I'll be sure to come up with something else in the next few months.
I haven't PM'd anyone yet - been sleeping Will get in touch with the winners today.

My mother always told me she'd see my name in lights some day
But I'm pretty sure she expected it to be on a CNN crawl

Good to meet you Ving, as well as RocketBoy and Mike.
Congrats to the winners, I missed the actual draw so I cant validate the results.
Also I somehow left the shop without spending any hard earned,
although Mikes report on the 14mm Meade s5000 UWA may help.

My book "The year - round Messier Marathon field guide" came today, loved the inscription from Mike Smith at Bintel. It said:
ICEinSPACE 1st Birthday
Well done!
Andrew
the
Astroman
Mike Smith
BINTEL
Although the book is aminly aimed at the northern Hemisphere, I am sure most of it I should get some use out of The star hopping they do looks pretty interesting. Should be a good read.
Thanks again, Mike and Mike for the chance to go in the competition
