I thought as much. Thanks for the info. I have no control over aperture unfortunately....Only in 'still shot' mode. Here's some of my best shots, not very spectacular, but I'm glad I got anything at all. I had great fun while I was out there taking them, & even more fun when I was reviewing the video's this morning! I keep forgetting my camera has a mic on it! There was some choice words on one by me that I forgot all about lol! I remember it scared the hell out of me! & remarked while I was shooting accordingly...
No I didn't I was on my to a lookout at the time, driving. A mate of mine said he saw it, and it blew out the power. I do have ppics of the fried junction box though.
LOL Trevor!!! I am planning on a camera upgrade but $150 for current cam is a little low
John: No worries mate, love seeing other peoples efforts, and techniques. What was the camera you were using? Oh will that be MO/Cheque or IOU for those prints
The closest strike I have been near was 3m away, it hit a power pole which I was parked next to, sprayed the car in sparks, but we were safe
You are one lucky boy. I used to test faulty cables for Telstra after lightning strikes. In one case I saw a 30m high tree blown in half and 20 or so metres of 20mm diameter lead sheathed cable (located 10 metres away from the tree) vapourised....
Great Shots Trevor. I was watching your storms as they went through Melb and Geelong, very intense, much more moisture with yours and you had golf ball hail (unconfirmed report) Still Your strike rate was over 1000 strikes/hr at one stage, pretty impressive.
