Good luck Ken!! You sound like you were really well prepared for it!!!

And mentioning the astronomy is a good thing!!! It shows you can 'think outside the box'. I went for a job interview with ANSTO and one of the questions i was asked was what is my greatest achievement besides academically... i couldnt think of anything but mentioned something more of an accomplishment.. having seen the shuttle launches here in australia. It basically got me the job cause i could think outside the box! So even if you don't think something is pertinant to an interview.. it may actually work in your favour and make u stand out from the crowd!

Hope you don't have to wait ages to find out! That is the sucky part!!

Laurie, yes I am on skype but having problems with it.

Rowena, yes I do have to wait. Another 4 weeks now until they notify the applicants.

They are back from France and letting people know hopefully next Wednesday!

I will either be jumping for joy at the Camp or mopeing around in a miserable condition

Yeah, I think my age had a lot to do with it, but they didn't say.

The letter from Sydney said:

"Dear Ken,
Your resume, interview and credentials were of a very high standard. Unfortunately you were unsuccessful. Your Interview and presentation were impressive and you should not be deterred by the outcome.
Thank you for the interest, and contribution, you have made in Rugby League and it's growth, it is much appreciated.
Yours Truly
Blah Blah Blah
ARL National Manager"

Thanks Mike,

It will be interesting to see who got it as they will have to work alongside of me in recruiting players from within our district. Thats what the job is about. Teaching RL to kids then introducing them to the local league.

Maybe they want me were I am as I do their job for free anyway!!!

Stuff up? Do you mean if someone accidentally ran him down as he was leaving after his second day at work??
