This is my opinion only, I have rarely watched these talent shows such as Australian/American Idol, Australia's Got Talent, So You think you can dance? etc. but from my limited knowledge, I believe they are produced as a marketing campaign to make money for the music industry and the broadcasting network, and I do not believe they exist to promote any sort of genuine talent whatsoever.
I do feel that Susan Boyle's singing ability is absolutely breathtaking. She was ridiculed for her perceived looks and she showed them she was a genuine person with a magical voice. I applaud her, but I feel that in the backrooms of the television network and the associated production company, they are both happy for the ratings, but puzzled as to what to do with her.
I think he spends too much time with his hands on his light sabre. Do him better to stick at his day job.
Must be frustrating for the judges.
Doug I think its this type of folk who make those shows and they certainly make you laugh. One thing for sure, when those that do have talent show up they will really shine when compared to the clowns
Back to Susan Boyle's performance on Britains Got Talent... Wow what an unexpected performance and response. Yesterdays news is that she is might be in line for a recording with Paul Potts. Read the spiel about her on Wikipedia. I'd say after looking after her mum till her passing a couple of years ago, now is Susan's time to shine. Anyway I wish her all the best.
