I think we have just found you a part-time job, Jen

Here are two more I found this morning. You have to love these.

1:The first one is the Sidereal Wristwatch. My initial thought was "What's the point??"
2: The second one, well, I always wondered what Agnetha (the blonde one from ABBA) got up to after ABBA broke up.

Hmmm ...

Well, why don't you organise the pictures Jen , send Mike and I the proofs in a brown-paper envelope ... and maybe we'll have a talk about it after that.

And by the way, the pic of the girl in the California Telescope Company ad that Redesford posted today, Yep she looks as though she's just about to carry that gear across a muddy observing field at the next star party --doesn't she?

Best,

Les D

P.S I added the two emoticons above (which is my allowance for the whole month) just so Jen would know I'm talking to her ...

But here it's in colour. In the magazines it was in B&W -- I'm pretty certain. I said earlier she was wearing glasses but it seems like memory has failed me there.

Still, in your mind's-eye, put a pair of big glasses on her and tell me she doesn't look like a tall "Tootsie" ?

But, as I said, who is this person?
Hi Les,

I always thought it was Rolands wife, Marj, but I could be wrong. If you take a look at the pictures of Marj on this page you will see a bit of a resemblance.

Kal, I'd reckon there's a pretty-good chance you're on the money. The body-type fits and there is some (at least) resemblance in the face structure. I also see in one of the photo's (RH column, 2nd from the top) at the supplied link, she seems to be wearing large-framed glasses (not exactly clear in the pic) Maybe my memory isn't failing (see above) and they also took pics at the shoot for the ad with 'glasses-on' that were used in some ads ... dunno.

I'd wouldn't 'put the house' on it at this stage (in the same way the Daily Telegraph really did put the house on it with the so-called Pauline Hanson expose' a couple of weekends ago) but ... you could well be right.

Yet another mystery of the cosmos I don't have to ponder as I fell asleep tonight ...

Off-topic. Just arrived home from Sydney Observatory. This is the 15th night I've worked this year -- and every single one has been cloudy. But what a lightning-storm!

Best,

Les D
