Sounds like you might need to get someone to take a look at it.

There's also an option where you're selecting safe mode, to boot normaly and generate a log file. If you're lucky, the last entry into this log file when the system resets itself will be the culprit.

Is there an error message when it reboots?

When you're in safe mode, turn off 'auto reboot on blue screen' by doing the following:

Start Buttom --> Control Panel --> System --> Advanced tab --> In the 'Startup and Recovery' section, click 'Settings' button --> Under 'System Failure' section, untick 'Automatically Restart' -- Click OK twice to get out of the System area of Control panel.

Now reboot into normal mode and if you see a blue screen with white writing, write everything down (you can ignore the hex, stuff that looks like 0x6A 0x7B etc) and post here.

Very likely flaky hardware or a driver issue.

RAM memory is random access memory so it doesn't actually store data onto it permanently.I think you mean to say you have 300mb left on your 80GB hard drive.
If thats the case, your hard drive is very full and will cause system instability.

Here is a few things i would suggest you do.
1) Remove any unneeded junk on the computer - you want to have at least 1-2GB free. Then run a DEFRAG on your local disk.

2) Go to "My Computer" and Right click on your Local Disk Drive (C:\) Choose "Properties" and then on the top Tab choose "TOOLS" . Then under "Error checking" click on "Check Now".

This can take some time , sometimes a hr or more. This tool will check your system files and the local disk to ensure it is erorr free, if errors are founded the tool will fix it.

I am quite sure this will fix your problem.

3 When you say it keeps restarting, from which point does it keep restarting? When you choose SAFE Mode, there should be a option to start windows in its last known good configuration.

Let me know how you go with the above.

Cheers,
Ash
Hi Ash thanks for the tips but it wont let me do that in safe mode its telling me it needs to access all windows files to do that
When i turn my computer on it it looks great to start with then while the blue thing is loading up going across the screen it decides to shut down and reboot over and over again thats as far as i get so i used the F8 button to its last known good configuration but that didnt do a thing safe mode is all i can do. So i dont get any errors pop up or anything like that.

So far i have unplugged it from the wall
Gave it a good clean up have about 1.3 gig free on my C drive and 5.2 on my D drive
Disabled my drivers (to scared to uninstall) would this make a difference if i did
Done a virus scan
And a computer scan using Advanced System Care

Jen do you have the motherboard driver disk for the computer ?
You could install all the motherboard drivers again from the disk in Safe Mode then try boot up in normal mode.

Also, have you tried booting using Last Good Known Configuration ?
When the computer boots, hit the F8 key before Windows loading screen usually appears(right after boot starts showing the POST screen - white text on black); then select Last good Known Configuration.

This is an explanation of the error. It is from a Microsoft page:

Quote:
Bug Check 0x44: MULTIPLE_IRP_COMPLETE_REQUESTS

The MULTIPLE_IRP_COMPLETE_REQUESTS bug check has a value of 0x00000044. This indicates that a driver has tried to requested an IRP be completed that is already complete.
Parameters

The following parameters are displayed on the blue screen.
ParameterDescription 1The address of the IRP 2Reserved 3Reserved 4Reserved
Cause

A driver has called IoCompleteRequest to ask that an IRP be completed, but the packet has already been completed.
Resolving the Problem

This is a tough bug to find because the simplest case — a driver that attempted to complete its own packet twice — is usually not the source of the problem. More likely, two separate drivers each believe that they own the packet, and each has attempted to complete it. The first request succeeds, and the second fails, resulting in this bug check.
Tracking down which drivers in the system caused the error is difficult, because the trail of the first driver has been covered by the second. However, the driver stack for the current request can be found by examining the device object fields in each of the stack locations.
My suggestion would be to boot into safe mode, and delete your drivers. You can do it 1 by 1 until you eventually replace the driver that is causing the error, or you can do several per boot to save time. It will mean some work as you will have to download and replace the drivers, or track down your hardware's driver CD-ROM's.

4) Plug pc back in wall and try to start normaly or select last known good configuration.
.
Jen, did you try my above suggestion to see if the dvd player is the problem?

Hi Jen I'm pretty sure I know exactly what happened to you computer and I know how to fix it and make sure that it never happens again.
You say that you have 9000 songs on there, so ,

Step 1: In you song library search for Billy Ray Cyrus.

Step2: Delete all Billy Ray Cyrus songs Especially Achy Breaky Heart.

Step 3: Restart computer and all will be restored and running better than ever.

BTW, good to hear you got it sorted.

Cheers Daniel.
