Wow those temps in Vic/SA are something else -- I guess we will get something like them in Sydney tomorrow.

I was just about to post that it is 42 in sunny Engadine at the moment, but now that looks quite a reasonable temp!

Best,

We got 39 degrees in the shade at the moment with 16% humidity and 35 kph north westerly winds. Not as nasty as what you poor lot down south are getting hit with but nasty fire weather all the same.

Just reading the fire reports on the RFS site

http://www.rfs.nsw.gov.au/dsp_content.cfm?cat_id=684

There are some bad looking fires around the state at the moment, hope everyone is safe and well.

We had a fire here too, way too close for comfort. In Narre South.
About 150 metres away.

I not only filmed / took photo's, I was actively helping out any which way I could.
We saved a house, a boat and possible some residents.

OMG!! Devastating news with at least 25 dead and rising with up to 400 homes gone so far.
Huge efforts by the fire-fighters as the conditions would have been horrendous .

Thoughts are with those affected now.
