I got the perfect place. Clayton bay, near the coast with seeing of 8-9.5/10 on a regular basis, sky is dark (well very dark) nearest city is Adelaide (77km as the crow flies), nearest town Goolwa (some light pollution from there but that is 30km away.

The town itself has a no light policy in place and enshrined in a local by law. Only 5 street lights working in the whole town of 130 residents and non of them anywhere near my place. 25 or so astronomers living there, ranging from rank amateur to well known names in SA astronomy.

Have not seen seeing less than 7/10 in all the time I have been visiting the area in 5 years. Sometimes the cloud can be a problem, but I do need to sleep sometimes.

Yep great place, close enough to the hospital just for those excitable nights.
