Steve - Cheap astronomy is not how I would describe astrophotography

With the aussie dollar as it is, 2k should get you a mount and a guide scope... You'll still need an imaging scope (unless you want to use camera lenses) in any case, you'll find about 15 bits and pieces between $50 ~ $100 that you'll need I know I did... I reckon I have at least $1400 in adapters, cables, connectors, extenders, reducers and other nic naks..
