Thanks for your understanding.

If you'd like to discuss it further please PM me.

WT... unless you know what it means and xxx???.... are a lot less profane than the word bugger (if you know the true definition of this word). I'm all against unneccessary vulgarity but a bit of light inuendo swearing taken in text is often humorous and sums up ones disappointment aptly without being too verbose

Cheers

I heard that they may offer the position to Billie Piper who played the part of Rose Tyler.

Who knows ?

Obama today, Billie tomorrow

Personally, I'd like to see someone like Jeremy Clarkson from Top Gear take on the role.

I used to wonder how many times the doctor could still regenerate. I recall seeing an eposide in the 80's when it was said he could regenerate 12 times. He's up to 10 isnn't he? Who's to say that the first episode was set on the Doctor before his first regeneration. Surely he has a history before then. I found some interesting stuff on Winkipedia on Doctor Who some time ago which seemed to fill in some of the gaps.

During the Brain of Morbius story (which was the only old series story that was given a "not for children" rating in Australia, and had to be aired the first time in an after 9pm timeslot) there was a scene in which Morbius and the Doctor fought a "mental degeneration" battle, a video screen displayed each of them as they forced each other "backwards" through numerous previous regenerations. This showed that the Doctor has already enjoyed many, possibly dozens, or regenerations.

But then yes, they later did talk about 12 regenerations. You can't take any of that as pure gospel as obviously there are inconsistencies with a show that has been produced over a 44 year time span.

Long live the Doctor - all of them.
