John, the slab will be ready as long as Phil brings his shovel with him when he visits in the next few weeks.

I spent last night on M31 Paul until the wind brought an abrupt end to my session.
It's probably the last chance I'll have this season to image it since we have Lostock next month.

I can't wait to get an observatory up and running, too much mucking around setting up and then have the weather turn on you.

2@8min. ISO800, dark subtracted. ED80 and WO FR. Stacked in IP and processed in IP and PS. A very rushed job. I'll try for a better one once it comes into view at a reasonable time.

I mustn't have had the camera square last night as all the shots taken have the left hand side showing some form of curvature.

Anyway, enjoy Dave.
Paul you tease me something horrid - spendid shot BTW

Yikes! That's sweet Paul. Certainly wasn't expecting such a fantastic rendition. Could almost mistaken that to have been taken from the n.hemisphere! (Not secretly using robotic telescopes are you?)
The image has real natural feel to it with its low colour saturation. Contrasting today heavily saturated images makes it different to others I've seen. Excellent highlights to the dusty lanes. Two thumbs up!
