What a TEAM!

We should start an Astro Photography Consultation Business, give us your budget and we will configure your scope and price it, only 10% commission required!

Now, if we could only find a lazy coupla G's to buy what we want (well, me at least, Alex has some very nice gear!)

Oh well, I may just go back to dreaming about my 12"collapsible DOB that someone might buy me.............maybe.............ki nda..............sorta............h opefully.....

Cheers

Chris

that adds another $500 to the budget, starting to get towards the idea of a 40D

Not quite - it would cost a bit to ship that mount to QLD I imagine...
Still a good option though!

Fair enough, I thought it would have been more. Was that with Pack & Send or who?

Thanks for all the info gents, But I have finally come to a decision.. EQ6 version 3 hand control ($1500) canon 350D (400) and an imported 127mm APO triplet ($1322). I managed to stretch the budget a little and the Minister Of Finance agreed.

laws were made to be broken! I've posted pics of every new bit of gear that I have.. Alas, every new purchase I've made attracted at least 1 week of solid rain....

I think im solely responsable for the lifting of queenslands heavy water restrictions..

oh, be aware that importing a $1322 scope from china will attract a import tax and probably 10% GST...

I am aware that it might but have been led to believe that the cost of the scope is below the threshold of import cost so maybe I'll be lucky
