Importing Celestron scopes

I have bought a few accessories from OPT without any problems, including a DMK camera. I haven't been caught for customs either (using the US postal service) so I have had some great deals. Its always worth asking them what they are prepared to ship. Even with duties there must be big savings to be made. They are a great company to deal with.

OPT was good to me also and shipping out of country is not usually a problem for them.

Well it was OPT that told me they could not ship Celestron, Meade, Orion and Coronado.
Seems like almost everything else is not a problem for them.

Another option is astromart - I got a secondhand C8 for $450 USD about 5 years ago now.

2nd hand isn't a problem, new is. Dealerships are what it's all about and these companies want to protect their dealers. You could try getting them from Hong Kong as the dealer lines are a little hazy over there.
