That's as close as you want to get. We had a big snow here a couple of years ago. Some people didn't have electricity for a few weeks. The only heating people could rely on was their log burners.

Besides that it's simply toooooo cold for me.

Never seen it .... ever . Nor has my wife .

If there is some tomorrow at Scone or the Barrington Tops , might take my wife to see it (only a 90 min run from here) , maybe get some snaps with that new 40D Enthusiast Kit.

Good excuse for a day trip , been a while since we did one.

Anyone know if there has been any snow up at Scone , in the Barrington Tops and Gloucester Tops today , believe it will be colder tomorrow , and pretty windy tomorrow , so good conditions for snow ????

But it is great snuggling and cuddling weather , the best place is under the doona in bed with someone friendly.

I always remember my first experience of snow as a 8 year old and we had just gone to Italy to visit the relatives.

We were staying with my grandmother on a 100 year old farm, the bedrooms were upstairs and the kitchen/loungeroom were downstairs except you had to go outside and downstairs to travel between the two.

There was 8 feet of snow one night and took over an hour to dig through to the kitchen in the morning, I have never been so cold before or since that day.

As mentioned previously, "It looks great on postcards"

Cheers

Been snowing on the hills around me for a couple of days solid now. White mud I hate it. Nice on post cards but work in it when it is starting to melt and the best you can do is turn it yellow. YUK

That was a famous Frank Zappa song "Yellow Snow"

"Watch out where those husky's go, don't you eat that yellow snow"

I guess I was in my mid twenties when I first moved to Oberon, and I hadn't seen snow before that, but I enjoy it.

My mum was over 70 before she saw snow on a visit here. That was brilliant! It was so good to see my mum running around in the snow like a little kid! She had so much fun, and didn't complain about the cold at all!

Got back last night from a job on Tassies west coast. There was quite a bit of snow on the highlands, I was worried that I'd be stuck there for the weekend. Drove back at night, there's something magic about driving through snow covered countryside at night.
