What an amazing price! I remember only a few months ago many retailers sold this for $2,300.

Put simply - wow!

Does this mount and/or the black HEQ6 have an autoguider port. I have a preference for the black mount as its more austere, does the goto option really make the mount any better.

my only question at this stage.... I want to hang the following off this mount.. is it possible?

8" newt + guidescope (80~90mm refractor) + DSLR (either piggybacked for wide field or attached to one of the scopes)

Hi Trevor.

The EQ6 (any model) and the HEQ5 do have auto-guide ports.
The EQ6 Pro is the same as the EQ6, just a new colour and a newer hand controller (I think).

The goto really is an excellent add-on. You only need the auto-guide ports for long-exposure guided astrophotography.

Yes, it will handle that fine.
I have my 12" newt (25kg OTA + 25kg counterweights) on my older EQ6.

Bintel has also reduced their price for the Skywatcher EQ6 Skyscan GO-TO to $1495. Is this the same as the Andrew's offer?

Order placed with Bintel! Woohoo.

Thanks DJDD for spotting Bintels price!
I prefered to use Bintel, as they have provided great service when I dealt with them before.

Now... just gotta wait patiently for the mount/gear to arrive.

All good news For us.
Strange they're calling the mount a HEQ5 - it's looks like a white version of the Synscan EQ5 I have.

Hi,

I have an EQ6, obviously it's not up to Losmandy in class, but for under 1500 bucks and with guiding its a rock solid proven performer

Are Bintel offering free postage and a 5 year warranty?

40kg Freight to Perth for free? lol, no.
Warranty, unsure. I would assume a manufacturer warranty applies though.
I was in a rush and forgot to ask. But for a $500 saving with good service; couldn't be happier.
