And I got home to find that "Baby Dog" had smashed open the new double doors open ...the ones I used to put in place of the window he knocked out... he is a little sausage... he hates using the back door..which is always open for him...so he doesnt have to jump thru anything on the other side of the house...all I can figure is if he hears someone coming he races out the front way so as to greet them faster.

our dog escaped a few months ago, and after 9 years of behaving himself decided that it was his new "thing" to get under the fence and disappear.

the first time we thought kids had let him out, and did nothing. after he escaped the second time i went out the back and called him and he showed his hand by pushing under the gate to come out and be with me. so after that:

* boarded up fence with wood - he ripped it apart
* huge 3mm perspex sheet (seemed pretty strong and smooth) - destroyed
* milk crates full of bricks in front of fence - climbed up and jumped over fence
* sheet metal - terrified. sounds like thunder when you bang the gate he wouldn't go near it. problem solved?
* a week later he destroyed the OTHER gate (thick wood) in about 10-15 mins of the house being empty.
* replaced other gate with new metal gate - dog gets over his fear of the back gate and climbs over it. leaves blood all over gate after cutting himself

We THINK we've solved it for now, by extending the back gate higher with extra fencing material. Even still, when we get a storm he walks up to it and tries to climb up and over. He used to go behind the house but for some reason he's decided hiding there isn't as good as escaping. of course, every time he gets out we get a call - and half the time he's been dodging traffic on the main road (6 lanes), or has crossed the road and kept going. it's amazing he hasn't been hit.

They probably wonder why we dont get it...Baby boy must have some logic that is above my views on how the house should be...
But I love my dogs.
We sing every time I get home it is a ritual for them..they each have their part.. timing is spot on..I recorded them and am going to play some blues with it and see if they fit...
Anyways the poor old cat mustta knew she did bad but I forgive her..she only proved what I have always said about lap tops..close them if you are not usinf them... so she is a smart cat.

They think they may be able to fix the lap top .. I know what others must go thru when you realise all you have on the dam things.
