Ummm! it's not like we dont get frosty bits in winter too, at least up here
on the north coast, and camp duckadang during QLD's astrofest. And we
often get snow to the SW and W like Armidale, Glen Innis and Tenterfield.
The old wicked winds from the west, will freeze the balls off a brass monkey.

I didn't managed to catch the great comet of 07 until it was well into it's
display, due to similar weather we're having now

你B, I know how that feels, just been a long time in between

I have just been out looking at that clear sky again, and think i might just let it go and get a good sleep instead, but that thought could change very quickly when the Sun goes down and the Stars appear, its like an addiction.

Gee we had a fright this morning, I saw a cloud, but it has now passed, Phew, that was lucky, clear again for a week.

Leon, gee you guys must hate us in Ballarat and Snake Valley.

New scope arrived today - so we've got thunder, lightning, rain and general gloominess here in Syd.

suppose it's a good oppurtunity to catch a bit more than 3 hours sleep out of every 24 for the first time in weeks...

Sydney still looks worse though - look at all that $H#&^Y cold and rain breathing down their necks http://www.bom.gov.au/products/IDN10064.shtml

At the other extreme, Mildura and Broken Hill have been averaging 13.3 hours of sunshine per day this month

EDIT: I just found out the reason why Melbourne's forecast has gotten so crap - Bintel just called me with news that the H-Beta and UHC filters I ordered have arrived. Whooooops my bad!!!

I have checked many weather sites and they all say the same. No rain for us here, and the earlier predicted thunderstorms for Fri & Sat are now gone!!!!

Give us some rain . . . pleeeeeez!

Sounds wierd for a stargazer wanting rain , but here is our updated forecast

I dont mind if it clouds up for a bit, just as long as about 4 days after the full moon it clears up again.

Yea, guys although I have been bragging about the clear days and nights i have to admit that i would swap any of them for rain.

It is so dry here, just having a smoke could set the place on fire.

So no more bagging you guys from me
