Mig,

Only my 2c - perhaps mileage will vary eg based film/DSLR or semi pro/pro user types....I implying that putting a ~$200 lens on a $2000+ body is not a good balance...

Today while my brother was telling my mum what lenses we should buy (I don't think a 14 yo deserves to use a 20D, even if he takes quite good photos), I realised that your comment isn't so unusual for a DSLR because a digital body costs far more than a film body. IIRC the EOS 1 series (top of the line) film cameras are something like 1 or 2 grand. The digital 1 series bodies top out at something like 10 grand
So I apologise for my comment.

As an interesting aside, Canon make a rather expensive 1200 mm L series lens. It is made after ordering and IIRC it costs 120,000 USD.

If the Australian dollar keeps loosing ground to the american Green Back...I'm afraid the 20DA will be lost to the 20D......I wont have a choice..the 20DA is getting extremely expensive as each days go by.

Tony, it would be worth familiarising yourself with the 20D/(a) the full manual for the 20D is available at Canon's website....
