I for one, am very happy that the dry areas are finally catching a bit of a break and getting the water we have all been praying for.

All the Plants around my observatory are greening up and thriving, the lawn is looking great and the ground for my new workshop in the back yard is so much easier to dig up and level off ready for the slab!!!

I dont mind having a bit of a break from late nights in the observatory and just relax in front of a mind numbing PC game or the television....or....wait for it.....actually spending some time with my wife!!!!

We should all be very thankful I reckon.

Baz.

We get your weather, Doug, then pass it on to Melbourne, who then pass it on to NSW.

It's been ridiculous lately!!!!

But the good news is that It is suppose to come good on the 8th which is clearing just in time for Camp on the 9th - 13th.
The weather outlook for Camp is fine & sunny, so eveyone might get a share in the good weather coming

That's bad Lee,
Our weather down here is supposed to clear up by the start of the week.

Last night was a washout - don't have a dancing Farmer emoticon so this'll have to do! (A QLD farmer!!!)
All the best and Clear Skies

That's bloody awful Lee, but then again down here is not much better, maybe not rain, but plenty of cloud cover.

Don't feel too bad 2 weeks now of solid cloud and only a little rain here near the NSW/Vic border.
I am truely sorry I bought a new scope. It is only a guide scope but quite a nice little WO 66 at $399, just need the time to use it, or should I say the weather to use it.

Don't blame yourself Doug!
If anyone's to blame it's me n' my 40D
It's the cumulative effect of astro equipment sales due to a strong Aussie dollar!
Damn you Howard!!!
Weather will be better under Rudd

yep its raining now. gauge full so more than 25mm overnight, had to go and dig out the channel in front of our area as dirt road washing away.
clear skies due later this week, the southern half of this magnificent country will no doubt give the deep sky section a good run.

Had the scope out last night at 2am. The dewshield filled with water, and the constant lightning destroyed my night vision. Transparency was terrible too. Packed it in at 2:01am. Weird trying to sleep with the funny noise on the roof ... rain.
