I'm feeling very lonesome on the first line. I guess I have to admit that, if I don't have my patch on, then I do have to squint with left eye closed and view with right eye. My preference always is to have both eyes open - circumstances do not always permit it.

the environment is my only eye patch - with streetlights/houselights around, i squint. Darker sites, I'm both eyes open.

I squint when I look through the finder.
I do my observing on the monitor now mostly. Very easy on the eyes. I have a sheet of laminated red celephane in front of the screen to cut most of the glare and help save my night vision.

Hi,

I prefer the other eye open but when the next door neighbours have their back light on it is too annoying.

I keep the other eye closed, but do it in a relaxed way instead of 'squinting' it.
