Na, Mate, it's all good, the first pier is not in use now, and just sits there for decoration while the second one is where the action is, and holds this lot, below.

There is plenty of room for me and the equipment when she is rolled home for the night.

And when pushed right back, any amount of room, it can be pushed open or closed with one hand and runs very smoothly.

That is a serious setup you have going there!
Can I ask what the scope on the right is?

I had to laugh when I saw your poor car in the background all
beaten up and a nice shiny fist full of scopes in the foreground.
That is your car isn't it?

At least you've got your priorities straight.

The scope on the right as you say, isn't a scope at all, it is a serious piece of glass in the form of a Canon 300 mm F/2.8 Lens, which also rides an this platform.

Na mate, that isn't my car, it belongs to my mum, we actually suggested firmly that it was about time she gave driving away at the age of 90.

This is my rig, below.

Cheers Leon

Have you got any photos that you've taken with the "lens" .
I'm in the process of building an equatorial platform so I can get into photography with my dob. I won't have a setup anywhere near yours
though. Maybe when I've retired and the kids have left home.
