I absolutely love Cockatiels,

We have had Budgies all our Married life, 33 years, but have NEVER,had such Interaction,as we do with our 3 year old Cockatiel.

He was not Hand Raised,as was recommended,

But,has become so tame,he says hello to us by name,
IE,hello Mum,Hello Pop,Greets, by name,both of our Daughters,and 3 out of 5 of our grandchildren.

Some people say,Cockatiels dont talk that well.

They are Wrong.

This little bloke talks very well,

Saying,"I drop it",if he PUSHES a biscuit from his cage,
"Pick up Mum, Come,on"

I say,"Do you like Girls",he responds,with a wolf whistle.

That is a SMALL sample,of his Vocabularly.

He loves to have breakfast with us,taking food from whatever we are having.

He Threatens us sometimes, with his beak, running it along a finger,Nibbling.

BUT,NEVER,bites us.

He will nibble our ear,and then put his head down for a scratch.

Totally Spoilt, Bloody Sook.

We love him Dearly.

Regards.John

Excellent shots there John! Nice and crisp and the colours are amazing.
What a great pet and he sounds like a real character.

Hi,Daniel,

Thanks for your kind words, and Interest,

Your right about our Cockatiel, being a great Pet,

We also have a dog,who howls Mournfully,if the phone rings for a while, Without being answered, like when we are outside,

The Bloody Bird, has learnt to imitate the ringing phone,
Drives the dog nuts, and us as well,as we rush inside to answer it.

Cheers.John
