No need to go to such extremes, John! The plan is to start saving now, putting away $50 per fortnight, and then closer to the time, sell the 22 panoptic and a few other items to make up the numbers.

Having said all of that, I am particularly interested in the value of the "bribe" needede to keep your signifigant other okay with this purchase...in case I need to do the same...

I, along with many others, anxiously await your purchase and can see no reason for your delay...get on with it man!
Marital harmony is one very good reason, Scott, to do the good old fashioned thing, and save up! Pleased you are so supportive of the purchase, perhaps if I bring along a harmonica to the next Kulnura session and do some fund-raising busking, you might toss in a lazy $50 note (US currency, of course!).

After having used it in Texas and then in California last May when Al

Just let me know if this is of interest to you and we'll try and hook-up.

The Mythos and Pathos Ethos

Any idea when TV will actually ship to vendors?

For those trying to fund a purchase...I figured it's essentially ONE year of depriving myself of my daily cappucino. Bah, easy. I was excited.

This excitement was followed by discouragement upon learning that I was actually spending that much on processed caffeine milk...

I thought I read over at AMART that some had shipped in the US...at least one person was claiming to have one in hand...

I meant to ask when they are likely to be here in Australia while I was down at Bintel the other day but I got distracted by all of the other "shiny stuff" there and forgot to ask...

Ethos

Well, I couldn't resist. I ordered one through a US vendor. No confident word on shipping, but with luck I'll have it by new moon October.

And, heck, it wasn't that expensive with my creative financing arrangement...lotsa folks only have one kidney and they do juuuuust fine....

Ethos

It will be neat to compare the view thru our different scopes.

Just hope it arrives in my hands before my Wed flight home.

Clear sky here in Wisconsin now, a nice crisp early Fall day here. Had a frost last night, killed off all the sparrow-sized mosquitoes here, so I might sneak out to my club's site and regale everyone with Southern Sky experience stories...."You should see Omega Centauri...it's huuuuge..etc etc"

See you soon.

Ethos

I have to admit I ordered one too. Expect a miscellany of other fine eyepieces to be advertised soon for sale.

Look forward to seeing you back on the right side of the world Scott.

Ethos

Well, Phil, let's get our Ethoses (Ethoi?) together in a bino-viewer sometime...like in your bino-newt...and charge $5 for 5 minutes or something...that view would have to be wild.

and, yep, my 13 mm Nagler (old one) may well hit the For Sale Forum soon....

Ethoi

We'll need to charge $10 in that case - $5 per eye.
