I have just Googled "Pasha + salvage + success", to see what the latest is on the salvage attempt, and I found a site that had a photo of my first attachment, stating that it is NOT the Pasha Bulker. However, it would appear that it is a shot taken from the bridge of the "Selkirk Settler" (a bulk phosphate carrier) in a storm in the north Atlantic in 1987. That would have been even scarier, maybe 1000km from anywhere, I don't even want to think about it...................
Yeah I saw those photos twice as an email. The first time the filenames were Selkirk but it was supposed to be off Mackay on the day the Pasha ran aground. The second time the filenames had been changed and the email tried to pass it off as a ship off Newcastle.
just looking at one of the photo's back there and i reckon with a few backhoes and a couple sticks of old Jack they could make a bit of a channel in front of her and put her back in the harbour
