I have always enjoyed reading Alex's posts.

He was often outside of the box in how he treated the subject matter, and as such, got me thinking in a different way.

Alex was not afraid to express himself, and found himself banned from this forum at least once. But he always bounced back, larger than life .

I regret not to have met him in person, and will miss his contributions.

Rest in Peace, Alex.

I can only echo everyone else's words - Alex was the most positive person I've ever communicated with, his posts here were always interesting to read. I may not have agreed with everything he said, but he did make me think about things in a different way.

He will be sadly missed. RIP, and condolences to his family.

Just read this post and my condolences to Alex's family and friends that knew him well. I never met Alex but have followed his Astro journey on this forum since I joined IIS several years ago. His posts were always informative and his stories frequently humorous, his encouragement to beginners, his compassion and thoughtfulness and positive nature were very endearing and I will miss his presence here. May you rest in peace now Alex, with the understanding of life and the universe no longer a mystery.

My sincere condolences to the family.
Alex was a fighter, I was expecting to take him up on the invitation to his 100th birthday.
R.I.P. Sir!
