Good to see rain falling where it's needed.
My Powermate arrived this morning, that should cause some pretty wide spread rain in Central Qld.

Which one?

2.5x = 3 days of rain.

4x = 5 days of rain.

5x = 1 week

I call it the Powermate Sliding Rain Scale

We had 25mm up to 6:45 this morning. By this arvo the total was up to 43mm. Still cloudy but I think the rain's over...

(I'd be happy to be proved wrong though).

Al.

43mm? That's a healthy drop.

We've had 31mm which is terrific, and it's still very grey here at the moment.

Wouldn't it be great to get the same amount again over the next week or so.

Follow-up rain is so crucial.

We're getting the first of the winter rains here in the Cape. We need it just as much as you guys in Aus do: the Cape may be surrounded by 2 oceans, but it is ironically a naturally very dry area...

Would be nice if the clouds do give us a break for some skygazing tomorrow night, being new moon... Sunny at the moment but I would like it to be pouring now and nice and bright tomorrow night.

But then, we don't always get what we ask for when we ask for it... *smile*

Hi Lee.

Hope you get some daytime rain

Hopefully we're seeing a shift to a long-term La Nina pattern

Plenty of rain here (in Tas) as well and more forecast. We really need it, one of our main hydro storage dams is down to 12% capacity, the lowest on record. I can guarantee at least a couple of weeks of bad weather here, my new second hand EQ6 left Sydney today....

It drizzled for a little while last night, and been dry all day. And now we have fog.

Looks like we miss out
